The Future of Video Games

One could argue that video games had an enormous impact on the success of modern personal computers. The vast number of C64 computers that has been sold in those days was more the result of computer game software than on the need for electrical typewriters capabilities.

In reality interaction with computers differs drastically from fictions that have been painted over years by Hollywood and literature. Even in modern computer games interaction is mostly conservative due to the fact that creating too innovative games is too risky. What does the game industry tell us about its future? Does future vision in games differ from other media?
